This is a true story and it will give you the chills. This is a beautiful and touching story of love and perseverance. Well worth the read.

At the prodding of my friends I am writing this story. My name is Mildred Honor and I am a former elementary
school music teacher from Des Moines, Iowa . I have always supplemented my income by teaching piano
lessons - something I have done for over 30 years.

During those years I found that children have many levels of musical ability, and even though I have never had the pleasure of having a prodigy, I have taught some very talented students. However, I have also had my share of what I call 'musically challenged' pupils - one such pupil being Robby.. Robby was 11 years old when his mother (a single mom) dropped him off for his first piano lesson.

I prefer that students (especially boys) begin at an earlier age, which I explained to Robby. But Robby said that it had always been his mother's dream to hear him play the piano, so I took him as a student.

Well, Robby began his piano lessons and from the beginning I thought it was a hopeless endeavor. As much as Robby tried, he lacked the sense of tone and basic rhythm needed to excel. But he dutifully reviewed his scales and some elementary piano pieces that I require all my studentsto learn. Over the months he tried and tried while I listened and cringed and tried to encourage him.

At the end of each weekly lesson hewould always say 'My mom's going to hear me play someday'. But to me, it seemed hopeless, he just did not have any inborn ability.

I only knew his mother from a distance as she dropped Robby off or waited in her aged car to pick him up. She always waved and smiled, but never dropped in. Then one day Robby stopped coming for his lessons. I
thought about calling him, but assumed that because of his lack of ability he had decided to pursue something else. I was also glad that he had stopped coming - he was a bad advertisement for my teaching!

Several weeks later I mailed a flyer recital to the students' homes. To my surprise, Robby (who had received a flyer) asked me if he could be in the recital. I told him that the recital was for current pupils and that because he had dropped out, he really did not qualify. He told me that his mother had been sick and unable to take him to his piano lessons, but that he had been practicing. 'Please Miss Honor, I've just got to play' he insisted.

I don't know what led me to allow him to play in the recital - perhaps it was his insistence or maybe something inside of me saying that it would be all right.

The night of the recital came and the high school gymnasium was packedwit h parents, relatives and friends. I put Robby last in the program, just before I was to come up and thank all the students and play a finishing piece. I thought that any damage he might do would come at the end of the program and I could always salvage his poor performance through
my 'curtain closer'.

Well, the recital went off without a hitch, the students had been practicing and it showed. Then Robby came up on the stage. His clothes were wrinkled and his hair looked as though he had run an egg beater through it. 'Why wasn't he dressed up like the other students?' Ithought. 'Why didn't his mother at least make him comb his hair for this special night?'

Robby pulled out the piano bench, and I was surprised when he announced that he had chosen to play Mozart's Concerto No. 21 in C Major. I was not prepared for what I heard next. His fingers were light on the keys, they even danced nimbly on the ivories. He went from pianissimo to fortissimo, from allegro to virtuoso; his suspended chords that Mozart demands were magnificent! Never had I heard Mozart played so well by anyone his age.

After six and a half minutes he ended in a grand crescendo, and everyone was on their feet in wild applause! Overcome and in tears, I ran up onstage and put my arms around Robby in joy. 'I have never heard you play* *like that Robby, how did you do it?*

 Through the microphone Robby* *explained: 'Well, Miss Honor ....remember I told you that my mom was sick? Well, she actually had cancer and died this morning. And well ...... she was born deaf, so tonight was the first time she had ever
 heard me play, and I wanted to make it special.'

There wasn't a dry eye in the house that evening. As the people from Social Services led Robby from the stage to be placed in to foster care, I noticed that even their eyes were red and puffy. I thought to myself then how much richer my life had been for taking Robby as my pupil. No, I have never had a prodigy, but that night I became a prodigy ...... of Robby.
 He was the teacher and I was the pupil, for he had taught me the meaning of perseverance and love and believing in yourself, and may be even taking a chance on someone and you didn't know why.

Robby was killed years later in the senseless bombing of the Alfred P. Murray Federal Building in Oklahoma City in April, 1995.

It’s Your Choice!

As Joshua was nearing the end of his life, he gathered the children of Israel together at Shechem. And there, from the lips of a man who was close to death, came an appeal that throughout the centuries has moved the hearts of many. Joshua said, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” [Josh. 24:15].

This challenge, viewed in the light of the New Testament, suggests three outstanding lessons in regard to our salvation.

1.    We must make a choice between God and the devil. To refuse Christ leaves us automatically on the devil’s side. Jesus said, “He who is not with Me is against Me” [Matt. 12:30].

2.    Second, this choice is a personal matter. Joshua said, “Choose for yourselves . . . whom you will serve.” Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be born again and made a child of God. But we must do the believing for ourselves.

3.    Third, there is an urgency in this charge. “Choose for yourselves this day!” Not next month.  Not a week from today, Not tomorrow, But this day.

My Comments #1:

     a. Accepting or rejecting Christ is by far the most important, life-determining decision you will make – EVER!

     b. It is a personal choice – NO ONE can make it for you. Not your Mom, your Dad, your sibling, your other family members….not your Pastor, your coach, your BFF.  This choice is on YOU.

     c. Jesus Christ is either who He claimed to be or He lied; I have decided to believe Jesus always tells the truth. 

     d. Your choice determines whether you spend eternity in Heaven or in Hell. (Yes, those are real places! Read Revelation 21 & 22 in your Bible.)

My Comments #2:

     a. If you are over age 21 you will recognize how much our country has declined morally. You also see how much our country has fallen away from God and our dependence upon him, both personally and as a nation. Those over 40 clearly understand that our country today is not the same as the one in which we grew up. What once was sin (as defined in the Bible) has now become the new norm.

     b. The falling away from God is one of the “end times” signs that Jesus   told us to watch for.  He also told us to watch for signs in the “heavens.”; to see a dramatic increase in the persecution of those who believe and follow Him (observe how Christians around the world are now being tortured and killed for their beliefs; and others.)

     c. Much interest has developed about “heavenly occurrences” particularly the eclipses of the sun and moon – which many believe portend the imminent return of Christ to gather his true believers.

    d. The “Four Blood Moons” during 2014-15 happen for the first time  EVER occur on important Jewish feast days and in the important years of Shemitah and Jubilee. Many believe than an extremely significant event affecting Israel will occur between now and Sept. 28, perhaps the return of Christ or the end of the world as we know it.

The truth remains the truth whether you believe it or not. 

So, isn’t it prudent that ALL, including you, be prepared spiritually for his return?

Hesitate and you just might be too late!

Hand Writing On The Wall Not Good News For USA!

The Biblical book of Daniel tells the story about a mystifying dream of Babylon King Belshazzar in which he saw a hand writing on a wall. He was both confused and puzzled by what he saw. Only Daniel, a revered Jewish captive, was able to quickly interpret the dream which foretold the King’s imminent demise.

Is history repeating itself with another hand writing on the wall of the United States? A message which perhaps portrays the demise of our once-great Godly nation? Strangely, most of us have been unable to see it, much less understand what it means. But,if we review events of the past several years, and if we connect the dots of those events, perhaps we can see clearly what is happening.

During his Presidential campaigns, Barack Obama repeatedly stated his intention to “fundamentally transform” the United States. True to his campaign promises, President Obama and his administration have repeatedly, by both action and inaction, clearly begun dismantling the USA.

Beginning with his “apology tour” of mid-Eastern countries where he actually bowed to the Saudi King and continuing to this very day, our President has been openly transparent in his intentions and actions. At every turn, he and his minions have cow-towed to Arab countries in an attempt to gain favor from them. And, to gain favor from his far-left constituency.

Consider these energy-related domestic events – all designed to continue our reliance on Arab oil.

• He has completely shut down all U.S. drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico that eliminated some 20,000 U.S. jobs. Yet, he gave $2 Billion to Venezuela so they could drill and promised the USA would become Venezuela’s “biggest customer.”

• He continues to prevent the Keystone Pipeline which would create hundreds of jobs for US workers.

• He refuses to allow drilling on public lands and takes credit for increased oil production on privately-owned land.

• He has essentially shut down all coal-mining therefore eliminating the use of the most prevalent energy source we have and decimating employment and the economy in coal-mining states.

• He gave billions of dollars for the creation of more green-energy production. Yet, those dollars were wasted when those endeavors resulted in bankruptcy.

Consider these foreign policy events – all intended to keep supporting Sunni Islam.

• He supported the take down of the Egyptian President (who, by the way, was friendly with Israel which is our ONLY ally in the Middle East) and continues to send $2 billion annually to support the Muslim Brotherhood which now controls Egypt.

• He supported the overthrow of Khadafy in Libya which is now controlled by several Islamist terrorists groups.

• Secretly, he ordered the CIA to stash thousands of missiles in Benghazi to be clandestinely shipped through Turkey to the Syrian rebels. Those missiles went missing when the Libyan “freedom fighters” supported by Iran and other Arab countries took over Libya.

• He repeatedly promised a “red line” for Syrian President Assad if he continued to use weapons of mass destruction on his own people. Yet, he refused to honor his promise apparently because he didn’t want to upset the Iranians and others in the Middle East. And, he let Russian President Putin snooker him into failing to fulfill the “red-line” promise.

• He continually urged Israel to quit defending itself against the repeated missile attacks by Hamas. And, incredibly, just yesterday his Secretary of State John Kerry, obviously with Obama’s approval, gave $5 billion to Hamas to reconstruct the Gaza strip! Why?

• He sent Secretary Kerry traipsing all over the Middle East attempting to orchestrate an impossible “peace treaty” and the institution of a separate Palestinian state. Those attempts were fruitless. Arabs and Jews have been at war for centuries and the Bible says that war will continue until Armageddon.

• Continually, Obama attempts to talk Iran out of their obvious goal of producing nuclear weapons. They continue their nuclear goals in spite of lame sanctions against them. And, the Iranians continue to buy time by pretending to “talk” about an agreement to stop nuclear production. Why won’t President Obama stand firm against the Iranians? Think about it!

Consider the growth of ISIS – all intended to keep from killing Islamist terrorists.

• Against strong recommendations by his military advisors and commanders (and even some Democrats) President Obama refused to leave a small peacekeeping force in the war-torn nation to support and train Iraqi troops to protect their country.

• President Obama’s abandonment of Iraq was a political decision to appease his anti-war base and blatantly disrespected the loss of life and limb by our military men and women who fought so hard to rid Iraq of its murdering leader, Osama Bin Laden.

• Because of our military abandonment in Iraq, it allowed ISIS to multiply and succeed in the mass murder and unimpeded torture of both Christians and “moderate” Islamists.

• It took the beheadings of two Americans and one Brit for Obama to recognize that ISIS was a serious threat to the United States and the free world. In spite of intelligence warnings about ISIS a year ahead of the beheadings, our President still had no plan to confront ISIS. None, by his own admission.

• Days later, Obama took to national (and world-wide) television to reveal his hastily developed plan. The US, he said, would begin a bombing campaign to stop the advance of ISIS and to eventually eliminate it. He announced he was sending Secretary Kerry to the Middle East to form a coalition of willing partners to assist in the elimination campaign which would likely take years to accomplish.

• Obama also promised again and again that he would not commit US ground forces to the cause. He continues down that path, again against his military commanders’ opinions that US ground troops would be necessary.

• Later, he touted the formation of a 60-country coalition to join with us. To date not one of those coalition countries, including our NATO ally Turkey, has contributed ground forces. However, according to recent reports, Iran has sent “hundreds” of fighters across the border to fight ISIS forces.

• Obama also promised he would supply the Kurds with sufficient weapons to continue its efforts to stop ISIS growth in the region. That promise has never happened!

• So far, the US Air Force and several other allies have joined in the air strikes on ISIS tanks, trucks and buildings. But, these “pin pricks” are not targeting the ISIS terrorists themselves. Why? It’s pretty obvious that Obama does not want to own the killing of Muslim terrorists. I have yet to hear any “casualty” report for the terrorists. Strange, because our news media had constant “body counts” during our two Gulf wars.

Consider Obama’s domestic inaction – all intended to attract continuing political support from his base for his “taking down” of our customary “American Way.”

He has stubbornly refused to close our Southern border to prevent ISIS terrorists from entering our country illegally. (Not to mention those infected with Ebola from doing the same.)

• He has promised to sign an executive order (without Congressional approval) after the mid-term Election next month to give amnesty to current illegal residents. That edict will provide a huge voting block of potential voters supporting Democrat policies and assuring Hillary Clinton’s election as President in 2016.

• To that end, Obama’s administration refuses to enforce our country’s existing laws. And, he has actually sued the State of Arizona for passing an immigration law to keep illegals from entering that State.

• And, Obama directed the Justice Department to sue some 23 States who have enacted “voter ID” laws to prevent fraudulent voters - thereby making a mockery of our democratic voting system and laws.

In my humble opinion, I have noted sufficient evidence to prove my belief that President Obama has, in fact, begun to “fundamentally transform” our country in a manner which I believe most of us oppose. It is startlingly obvious to me that the US will soon be irrelevant on the world stage if we continue to elect leaders who support Obama’s policies and obvious intent.

Is all lost? Not yet! We can return our country to its “foundational roots” at the ballot box beginning next month. But, it will take a groundswell of Conservative Christians to vote our way back!

Any vote for any Democrat or “RINO” next month is a vote for Obama’s policies. Any Conservative Christian who does NOT VOTE is also a vote for continuing Obama’s policies!

The handwriting is on the wall, folks. And, the only way we can erase it is through prayer and the ballot box!

Impeach And Convict President Obama?
Possible, But Won’t Happen Anytime Soon!

President Obama’s illegal release of five Taliban terrorists from Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba last week in exchange for a U.S. Army Soldier’s release from Taliban confinement in Pakistan has triggered an explosion of impeachment calls from Republican, Independent and Democrat citizens alike.

The internet and TV news reports have suddenly been covered up with petitions, blogs, comments and opinions on Obama’s possible impeachment. The voices are growing louder and more insistent. Google “Impeach Obama 2014” and you’ll find numerous political websites and news reports about the quickly growing impeachment ground swell among bloggers, analysts and even members of Congress.

Even the White House received and responded quickly to an impeachment petition posted on its own website. (Read the petition and WH response here: www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2014/02/17/we-people-response-reaffirming)

So, is all this hoopla going to result in Congress voting to impeach the President? Not likely to happen any time soon, folks.

It will be political suicide for the GOP to begin impeachment proceedings in the House now. Yes, they would likely muster the required majority vote in the GOP-controlled House; but the Democrat – controlled Senate conducts the trial and it would take a required 2/3 majority vote to convict. That won’t happen. And, when a House-generated impeachment measure fails to pass in the current Senate, it’s over for 2014.

But the possibility for impeachment and conviction remains, perhaps as soon as next January, provided of course a new Republican-controlled Congress is seated. If the Dems retain control of the Senate, the impeachment and conviction ball game will be over and Obama will run out his term as President.

But,if next November’s election results allow the GOP to maintain control of the House and the GOP to control the Senate, the current Harry Reid-muzzled Senate Conservatives will actually have their voices heard and their votes counted because a new GOP Majority Leader would replace Reid.

And, get this: If, perchance, voters provided a veto-proof GOP Congress, it would open the door in January for Congress to begin taking down Obamacare, to open the Keystone Pipeline, to rejuvenate the Coal Industry, to determine the truth about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and restructure our Federal Tax Code and other Obama Administration ills forced on “We The People.
”
Electing Conservative candidates in the November election is absolutely crucial to begin re-taking our country from liberal socialists who, under the law-breaking, dictatorial Obama Administration, have produced so many scandals, illogical spending, growth-impeding regulations, and self-serving dictates.

We need a nation-wide ground swell from voters who don’t want any more of Obama’s lies and changes to our God-instilled values and morals - regardless of their politics. It’s up to you to get out the vote! Yes, you!

At the federal level, the impeachment process is a two-step procedure. The House of Representatives must first pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached".

Next, the Senate tries the accused. In the case of the impeachment of a President, the Chief Justice of the United States presides over the proceedings….To convict the accused, a two-thirds majority of the senators present is required. Conviction removes the defendant from office. Following conviction, the Senate may vote to further punish the individual by barring him from holding future federal office, elected or appointed.

Conviction by the Senate does not bar criminal prosecution. Even after an accused has left office, it is possible to disqualify the person from future office or from certain emoluments of his prior office (such as a pension). If there is no charge for which a two-thirds majority of the senators present vote "guilty", the defendant is acquitted and no punishment is imposed.

Please, please take the time to read this entire document. You will be disheartened, then hopeful and then encouraged about the information herein.


Because it’s Memorial Day weekend, you may have missed two shameful acts by U.S. Senators in the past three days which should make your blood boil. Again! These despicable acts are conclusive evidence of how corrupt and self-serving Democrats in the Senate are and how desperate they are to stay in power.

Easing The Ability To Fire Incompetent VA Employees
On Wednesday, the House of Representatives overwhelming passed the “VA Management Accountability Act of 2014” by a strongly bipartisan vote of 390 – 33 and sent it to the Senate for action. The bill would ease federal workers union restrictions on the VA Director by allowing to him to more quickly fire or suspend VA employees.

The very next day, Thursday, Republican Senator Marco Rubio asked for the Senate’s “unanimous consent” on the House bill that most thought was a no-brainer in allowing quick resolution to the systemic (and, perhaps, criminal!) issues with VA medical service. Not so fast, buckaroo!

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the union-backed self-described “democratic socialist” who chairs the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs, objected to Rubio’s proposal because “we need the time to read” the 2 ½ page House bill. Instead of taking any action now, Sanders said he is going to hold a hearing on the House bill several weeks from now! Sander’s action blocked the bill from immediate consideration and passage.

It is important to note that earlier on Wednesday Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid reportedly met with Democrats. Could it be that during that meeting the plan to block the House bill was devised? If so, there was time to alert House Democrats of the Senate’s plan before the House vote.

That tip-off gave House Democrats, all of whom are up for re-election in November, the cover to vote for the House bill knowing it was going nowhere in the Senate. House Democrats would then be able to truthfully claim that they had voted in favor of the measure during their campaigns prior to the November election.

Meanwhile, later Thursday afternoon, 48 Democrat and 2 Independent Senators sent a signed letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell urging that he recommend the Washington Redskins change its name. Apparently the name change for a football team is more critical to the Democrat Senators than taking action to allow the VA to clean house. (Oops, forgot about all that union money supporting Democrat politicians.)

Amnesty by Executive Order in August? (From the Patriot Update, May 23, 2014):
On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) gave House Republicans six weeks to pass amnesty legislation before President Barack Obama starts to use executive actions to ease deportations and change immigration laws.

“We’ve waited 329 days, we’re willing to wait another six weeks,” Reid said, according to Politico. “But at the end of six weeks, if something hasn’t been done, then there’s gonna have to be a move made. And it’s too bad we have to do that, because we all know things can be done administratively, but it’s better to change the law.”

Schumer, who has previously said there could be legislation by “June or July,” concurred. “They have about a six-week window, from June 10 after the last Republican primary until the August recess. If they don’t pass immigration reform then, the President will have no choice but to act on his own,” he said, according to The Hill.

Schumer, along with Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), has said that this year is the last chance to pass sweeping amnesty legislation. (What? Is Obama intent on disbanding Congress?) The New York Democrat has also suggested that Congress pass the Senate’s amnesty bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, but delay the implementation of it until Obama leaves office in 2017. Reid also endorsed Schumer’s suggestion, which would give amnesty to all illegal immigrants who arrived in the country before 2014.”

My Comments:
This threat is clearly an attempt to put the Republican controlled House of Representatives in a political bind. If the House succumbs and passes the Senate amnesty bill as is, it will not take effect until January 1, 2017, unless of course, the Senate somehow fast-forwards the bill to an earlier effective date or Obama issues another executive order to make the law take effect immediately after passage but before this year’s election.

If the amnesty law takes effect as claimed on January 1, 2017, a new Republican President-Elect, without Republican control of the Senate, will be unable to repeal it.

But, If the House stands firm and refuses to pass an amnesty bill before the threatened deadline, it faces the likelihood that an executive order will grant immediate amnesty to illegal immigrants. Read that as an edict from the Oval Office granting voting rights to millions of new, now illegal voters who, out of thanks to the USD (U.S. Dictator), will almost certainly vote for the Democrats in next November’s General Election and subsequently sweep the 2016 Democrat nominee into the Presidency.

So, regardless of what the House does before this November’s election, there is a strong possibility that literally millions of new likely Democrat voters will appear at the polls in November. We all know what that will do to our once-cherished Democracy.

The good news is that there is a way out of this dilemma! First the House may decide to significantly change the Senate bill by adding numerous amendments and changes and engage in time-consuming debate with a last-minute passage in an attempt to hold off the threatened “executive order.” That strategy may not work, but at the very least, doing so would indicate to voters that they had a specific plan of their own to reform immigration laws.

I suggest what I believe is a better strategy for the House. It’s a long shot, at best, and will require historical fortitude from many current House Republicans and Democrats who are upset that the President is by-passing Congress in making laws of his own.


Here’s the Cooper Plan:
1. House Republicans stand firm, dig in and refuse to succumb to the threat of an “executive order” granting immediate amnesty and voting rights to current non-citizens. That puts the ball back in the Dems hands forcing them to decide whether or not to proceed with their threat of an “executive order.”
2. If the “executive order” comes, even if is issued just days before the Nov. election, the House takes action by:
a. Immediately (overnight) seeking a Federal Court injunction to stay the implementation until the Court determines whether or not that executive order is Constitutional.
b. Immediately (overnight) filing a companion law suit in Federal Court claiming the executive order is un-Constitutional.
c. Immediately (the next morning) beginning impeachment proceedings on the grounds that the President over-reached his Constitutional authority in issuing the executive order (and any others the House wants to include.)

I’m not an attorney and have never taught Constitutional Law at Harvard, but the focus of this plan is to take any and all possible steps to delay implementation of any “executive order” granting amnesty and voting rights to currently non-citizens until after the 2014 election. Surely, lawyers in the House can figure out how to delay. (Maybe, House Speaker Boehner can even pull a “Harry Reid” and refuse to bring any amnesty bills to the House floor!)

This action will give all Republican House members and Republican Senators and 2014 Senate candidates the opportunity to use this issue, among many others, as a winning election strategy next November. But, before the election, they will need to pass a specific new immigration law they would all support after the election.

Here’s the deal! If Republicans maintain control of the House in November and if all Republicans can energize the electorate enough to take control of the Senate, too, the ball returns to our court beginning in early January next year when the new Congress is seated.

If the new Senate is controlled by Republicans enough to over-ride any veto by the President, Congress can begin to heal many of the ills created by the current Administration. Here’s what that Congress could do: repeal Obamacare, re-structure or eliminate the VA, re-structure or eliminate the IRS, discover the truth about Benghazi, approve the Keystone Pipeline, create real jobs and get the economy booming again and others.

A giddy serendipity of a Republican-controlled Senate is that Harry Reid’s power and authority would be emasculated! Yes, he would still be a Senator for four more years and he would possibility become Minority Leader, but he would become a “toothless” tiger. That possibility excites me!

This scenario scares the living daylights out of Democrats and socialistic program supporters. That’s why they have been so aggressive in spreading lie after lie about the issues and scandals we face in this country. That’s why they are so desperate to retain control of the Senate. President Cooper Would Shut Down VA;
Transfer Most Veteran Benefits To States


BLAIRSVILLE, GA – In what will likely become a hotly contested, explosive idea, especially among “big government liberals and socialist Democrats,” 2016 Presidential Candidate Chuck Cooper dropped a political bomb today when he suggested that as President he would shut down the Veterans Administration, sell existing facilities to private firms and transfer most veteran benefits to the individual states.

Cooper said he would insist that all veterans be included in the current healthcare program provided for Congress and other federal officials. “Our veterans need and deserve the best medical care we can possibly provide for them,” he said.

“In view of continuing revelations of likely criminal activity among top level VA officials, administrators, supervisors and other employees, it is apparent that drastic measures must be taken immediately to assure the best medical care possible for all of our veterans,” Cooper said. “Obviously, bureaucrats have been unable and unwilling to provide that for our vets,” he continued.

“Recent discovery that as many as 100 veterans died because of unacceptable and unwarranted delays in getting the medical attention they desperately needed, Cooper said. “It is sinful, pre-meditated murder and indefensible negligence by those providers,” he stated. According to the Presidential hopeful, “the lack of Congressional oversight is just as responsible for these grossly unnecessary deaths and they need to be held accountable too. We can take care of them this coming November,” he said.

Cooper himself is a non-combat veteran who has been eligible for VA care, but was “kicked out” of the VA system because he missed two consecutive assigned appointments at the Lufkin, TX clinic in 2002-03. He was working in Alaska on the appointment dates and notified the Texas clinic ahead of time that he would be unable to keep the appointments. The “Veterans Advocate” in Lufkin told him nothing could be done because “rules are rules.” He is now covered under Medicare and private health insurance.

Cooper fumed when he learned from news reports last week that nearly $500 million was spent on VA office furnishings and accessories instead of hiring more medical practitioners to help care for veterans. “I will do everything I can possibly do to encourage Congress to shut down the VA and fire the administrators as soon as possible.

In closing, Cooper said: “I’ve heard the vocal words of both President Obama and his Cabinet head of the VA say that they are ‘mad as hell’ about what has gone on at the VA over several decades,” Cooper noted. “Well, I’m mad as hell, too. Dishing out tax-payer dollars to the victims’ families surely doesn’t bring closure to them for what their own government did to them,” he said.

“This simply shouldn’t happen in the United States, for crying out loud,” he exhorted. “The idiots in charge were more concerned about keeping their jobs that taking care of their patients,” he claimed. “Shame on them!”

President Cooper Will Take No Salary;
Will Work For Food & Housing Only!


BLAIRSVILLE, GA – In a stunning announcement today, 2016 Christian Conservative Party Presidential candidate Chuck Cooper revealed that while in office he and First Lady “Sweet Sue” will refuse to take any salary and will serve as President for “food and housing with utilities and an occasional chopper ride to and from the White House and our home here,” he said.

“We won’t need any income unless the current administration decides to steal our life savings (and yours!) with higher taxes, higher energy costs, a de-valued dollar, hidden costs or removed procedures embedded in the secret Obamacare power grab or other sneaky middle-of-the-night strictly partisan policy,” he said.

Continuing he said: “Many, many of us Americans have suffered greatly because of the sense-less fiscal policies forced on us by current and previous Administrations. Liberal leaders don’t seem to understand the math that it takes to balance a budget or the need to do so. They seem to believe that we can spend our way to regained prosperity with money we don’t have. Hogwash! Bullpucky! “The simple math says when you spend more than you have you create debt which will eventually have to be paid,” he pointed out.

“Unfortunately too many politicians willingly pass our rapidly growing debt to those that follow them instead of doing something about it. We are drowning in the unsustainable debt those numb-skulled jerks have created. And, they won’t do diddly squat about it. Economists project our debt will have reached $20 trillion by the time I take office. What’s 20 trillion? It’s the number 20 followed by 12 zeroes for crying out loud,” he exclaimed. That’s an unmitigated sin!”

“Look at it this way: the current population of the U.S. is 309 million people. To eliminate a $20 trillion debt, every man, woman and child in this country would have to pay $64,700. Feds estimate Interest paid on our current debt is $220 billion each year.

“My goodness, most housewives know how to balance a budget to ‘make ends meet.’ If that’s the case, then why in the world can’t our leaders balance a budget to make ends meet for our country?,” he asked rhetorically. “Maybe that’s because so many are career politicians and depend on giving things away to the folks so the folks will continue electing them to office.

“The fact is that those politicians don’t want a balanced budget. Is that a preposterous proposition?” he asked. "Heavens no! Here’s why I say that: Because the goodies to their loyal voters would have to stop and their loyal voters will desert them. Our Executive Branch and Congressional leaders simply don’t want to risk their careers by doing their Constitutionally-mandated jobs,” he concluded, “but with your help we are going to correct that!”

In another “austerity” move, Cooper said he and “Sweet Sue” won’t be doing much world-wide travel like predecessors have done. “I see no need whatsoever in firing up Air Force One and accompanying aircraft and jetting around the world at massive, budget-busting expenses just to see other foreign leaders face-to-face. With today’s technology, we can do that from Washington, DC or Blairsville, GA,” he claimed.

“If foreign dignitaries and diplomats want to meet with us in person, they will be welcomed at the White House,” Cooper promised, “but there won’t be any of those extremely expensive ‘state dinners’ with star-studded entertainers to show off to them.

“That policy means the First Lady won’t have the need for any of those over-priced ‘wear one time’ designer gowns featured later in women’s magazines and society pages that some of her predecessors have purchased at government expense and all the fashion editors drool over.

“We are broke, for crying out loud,” he offered, “and are greatly jeopardizing the lifestyles and opportunities for all of us if we don’t act and act quickly. Our credit cards are maxed to the max,” he said, “and predatory loan sharks like China are eager to own us.”

Cooper concluded by saying: “You can take this to the bank. I won’t be taking any exotic, out-of-country vacations. I won’t be roaming the country raising funds or supporting political allies, either. There are lots of gorgeous vacation spots here within in our own borders. So, if we take a vacation, it will be right here in the US so we can support the local economies.

“And, why in the world would I need to raise funds? For Heaven’s sakes, I’ll be 78 when I take office. Any thoughts of a second term would be pure fantasy. I’ll be blessed to finish the first one.

“So, I’ve got nothing to gain or lose politically by insisting on a balanced budget and by having the courage and guts to make very difficult spending cuts to balance our budget. I will do my part by operating the White House on a very strict “bare bones” budget.

“One more thing.” he explained, “I won’t approve any budget which isn’t balanced and which does not include funds to cut our horrible debt. We don’t have the dollars to continue our spending addiction. It’s time we ‘paid the piper,’” he said emphatically.
